Need Help?

The Academic Advising Center helps students achieve academic success through direct advising, special programs, and by directing students to the many resources available at Tulane.

Calculus Desk

Tulane's Mathematics Department offers special assistance for students taking calculus courses.

Howard-Tilton Memorial Library

The librarians at Howard-Tilton Memorial Library assist students in locating and utilizing print and electronic resources to support their research and information needs.  Some of the many services offered include quick reference assistance, individual consultation with a subject specialist, workshops, access to software, hardware and equipment, and numerous online tools.  Be sure to check out the expanding Learning Commons on the first floor.

Goldman Center for Student Accessibility

The Goldman Center for Student Accessibility , a division of the Center for Educational Resources & Counseling, provides equal access and a friendly environment for all who study and work at Tulane.  Through collaboration and exploration, modifications to the academic or work environment (i.e. accommodations) can be offered to students and employees with registered disabilities.

Talk to your Instructor

Course instructors are perhaps the best resource for students having difficulty with concepts or individual assignments in a particular course.  Check the course syllabus for designated office hours or for contact information to schedule a meeting.  It's a good idea to prepare in advance specific questions for your instructor.

Tutoring Center

Specially trained peer tutors are available to assist students in a wide range of subjects.  A schedule of regular tutoring hours for high-need courses is published online at the beginning of each semester.
