Parents and family are important partners in the success of Tulane students. Your support and guidance outside the classroom is key to your son or daughter's academic and personal success. We also recognize that college is a time of transition for students and families. Students learn to be more independent and explore their interests while parents and families adjust to changing relationships.

Academic advisors are here to help students during this transition to develop their academic interests and to locate resources they need to succeed. We encourage parents and families to keep open lines of communication to students as well, engaging in conversation about their interests, what they are learning, and new experiences they might wish to share. We all want to work together to help students make good decisions and grow as individuals.
