Tulane University President Scott Cowen has been invited to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, "BCS or Bust: Competitive and Economic Effects of the Bowl Championship Series On and Off the Field" Oct. 29 at 10 a.m. in Washington, D.C.

Cowen, who is spearheading a challenge to the Bowl Championship Series by the leaders of 44 universities that are not part of the BCS, testified before the House Judiciary Committee on Sept. 4. He was part of a panel that included football great Steve Young, NCAA President Myles Brand and Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delany.
