Entergy Spatial Analysis Research Laboratory

Established in 1994 as a unit of Tulane University Medical Center's School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, the Entergy Spatial Analysis Research Laboratory (ESARL) is directed by Dr. James L. Regens, Freeport McMoRan Professor. ESARL has managed $26 million in extramurally-sponsored funding by public and private sector clients, including the U.S. Department of Energy, National Institutes of Health, the U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service, NASA, and International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology. ESARL draws on the expertise of multidisciplinary teams with backgrounds in statistics, modeling, spatial analysis, environmental health sciences, geology, forestry, economics, engineering, and policy analysis. Through this expertise ESARL provides a full range of state-of-the-art modeling, spatial analysis, and relational database management/integration capabilities to address complex environmental problems.
