Competitive Funding

The CBR regularly hosts competitions for research funding. These opportunities are intended to fund small or pilot-scale research projects, and generally target particular schools or disciplines to enhance collaborative research endeavors. For example, one opportunity targeted environmental research on the School of Liberal Arts, particularly research with potential to enhance synergy between the School of Liberal Arts and other schools at Tulane. Funding agencies are increasingly looking to support collaborative, interdisciplinary research efforts and the competition sought to enhance Tulane's competitiveness for such awards by providing early funding for novel research.

CBR Faculty Fellows

The CBR is offering annual fellowships to faculty at Tulane and Xavier Universities in support of collaborative scholarship and/or teaching. The goal of this program is to foster interdisciplinary collaboration among faculty. Each fellow will work on two projects during the yearlong fellowship: (1) Fellow Project: An individually-proposed project (proposal submission guidelines below); and (2) Collaborative Cohort Project: A collaborative project that fellows will develop and complete together as a cohort.

Applications for the inaugural round of fellowships were due in February 2016. Check back here or join our mailing list for future opportunities.
