Endowed Funds


Jean Yocum Harlan Memorial Fund
was established in 1999 by Dr. Richard Harlan, former Director of the Tulane Neuroscience Program, in memory of his mother, to support graduate training initiatives in the Neuroscience PhD Program.

Catherine and Hunter Pierson Chair in Neuroscience was established in 2000 by Catherine and Hunter Pierson and Julia and Louis Beecherl for a distinguished professor in the field of neuroscience. The current holder is Dr. Jeffrey Tasker.

Gary P. Dohanich Professorship in Brain Science was established in 2016 by Wayne Teetsel (A&S '87, B '90) for a distinguished professor in the field of Brain Science in recognition of the enriching influence that Professor Gary Dohanich had on his academic experience.

Marta Robidoux and William A. Marko Endowed Fund was established in 2016 by Marta and Bill Marko (E '81, E '83) to provide an annual income beginning in 2021 to the Tulane Brain Institute Director's Fund for Strategic Initiatives.

McQuillen Family Endowed Fund was established in 2017 by Traci Peterson McQuillen and Michael G. McQuillen to support targeted research within the Brain Institute. 

The Michael Cochran Community Engagement Endowed Fund in Neurodegenerative Disease, Neural Injury and Repair was established in 2018 by Mathilda Cochran in memory of her husband, Michael D. Cochran, M.D., to support community engagement activities at the Tulane Brain Institute.
