Director Jill Daniel's Welcome included the Year in Review, Faculty and Student Accolades, and Looking Forward remarks. The 2017 Recipients of the Marko Spark Innovation Research Fund Award, Drs. Anne Skaja Robinson and Laura Schrader presented their Work-in-Progress, "Mechanistic determinants of trans-synaptic tau transmission". Fourteen of our graduate students presented their research and gave very professional presentations! Congratulations to the winners of the Jean Yocum Harlan Graduate Student Presentation Awards: Nina Baumgartner, Jeff Darling, and Marc Fischer.

Local high school students are invited to compete in Tulane University Neuroscience Association's annual Brain Bee--like a spelling bee but the questions are about the brain. Students will have an opportunity to grab lunch, tour labs, and interact with Tulane Neuroscience majors.
