The New Orleans Chapter of the Johns Hopkins Alumni Association invites you to a panel discussion entitled: New Orleans and the New Health Care Law. This event is open to the public ad will be held at the Tulane School of Medicine's Main Auditorium (1st Floor), located at 1430 Tulane Ave.
Distinguished panel members include:
Jeffrey Wiese, MD, FACP
Dr. Wiese attended Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where he received his medical degree in 1995. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of California at San Francisco. He has been on faculty at Tulane since 2000. Dr. Wiese is an Associate Professor and the Associate Dean for Graduate Medical Education at the Tulane University Health Sciences Center. He is also Vice-Chairman of Medicine, the Chief of the Charity Medical Service, and the Director of the Tulane Internal Medicine Program.
Chayan Chakraborti, MD
Dr. Chakraborti received his medical doctorate from Tulane University School of Medicine, where he also completed a residency in internal medicine. He continued on to the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine where he participated in a fellowship program in Medical Education. Dr. Chakraborti is an attending hospitalist physician at Medical Center of Louisiana, New Orleans - University Hospital. His research and published manuscripts have involved teamwork training and quality improvement effectiveness in medical education, and he works regionally and nationally on efforts to improve patient safety and medical quality.
