This workshop features lectures and hands-on exercises that guide participants through an intensive examination of International Humanitarian Law (IHL) with a focus on its application to combatants and civilians. Sessions will be held by professionals from the American Red Cross, law experts and professors. Topics Include: Introduction to IHL & The Geneva Conventions The Role of the ICRC Protection of Civilians Means & Methods of Warfare Non-State Actors & Direct Participation in Hostilities Humanitarian Workers and IHL Domestic & International Enforcement Applications are available at the website or by contacting the event organizer via phone or email.
