Due to distribution shortages, we will not be receiving our planned shipment of flu vaccines in time for the scheduled employee flu clinics. We are hoping for a late October shipment, but at this time have no guaranteed arrival date. The previously scheduled free clinics are being postponed until futher notice. Please watch your email for future information. If you would like to receive your flu vaccine now, you may visit your primary care provider or various large retailers such as Target, Walgreens, or CVS and use your preventive medical benefit to receive a flu vaccine at no out-of-pocket cost. The flu shot will not give you the flu. If you or someone else you know is experiencing flu-like symptoms such as fever, cough, muscle aches, sore throat, or loss of appetite, stay home and contact the Uptown Student Health Center at 504-865-8255 or Downtown Student Health Center at 504-988-6929.
Influence one another this semester by spreading the word, not the flu.
