Join the Taylor Center for the NewDay Distinguised Speaker event on February 6th in Freeman Auditorium at 6 PM. The NewDay Distinguished Speaker Series present prominent leaders from across the fields of social innovation, social entrepreneurship, and design thinking to share their own experiences, challenges, insights, thoughts, and recommendations to students and the community. The spring series will feature T. Morgan Dixon, the co-founder and chief of programs of GirlTrek.  Prior to GirlTrek, Morgan served in senior leadership for one of the largest charter school networks, Achievement First. She also directed the development and start-up of seven public schools in NYC for St. Hope & the Urban Assembly - funded by the Gates Foundation. Morgan is a Teach for America alum, Ashoka Fellow and Echoing Green Fellow. She's on the boards of the National Outdoor Leadership School & Teach for Haiti. the event is free and open to the public.
