Bayou St. John runs from Lake Pontchartrain into the Mid-city neighborhood and is bordered by City Park. This urban bayou is the reason that the early French decided to locate New Orleans at what is now the French Quarter in the early 1700s. Join us on a 2 hour leisurely paddle to learn about the architecture along and history of the waterway before we stop for lunch at Parkway Bakery and Tavern, famous for their po-boy sandwiches. Cost includes activity fee, equipment and transportation. Participants are responsible for purchasing their own lunch at Parkway Bakery.
Life jackets will be provided and required. Younger family members are welcome with the understanding that the tour operator will determine whether they may be paddlers or non-paddling passengers. All participants must sign waiver forms. Participants under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign their waivers.
$35/person NOT including lunch--group will stop at Parkway Bakery for lunch advance regstration reqired, space is limited to 40 people.
