Handbook for Emergency Response for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO)

Tulane University's Disaster Resilience Leadership Academy embarked on a 7-month partnership with the FAO, that began in March 2013, to develop a Handbook for Emergency Response. At this time, a tool does not exist to build upon the high level Operational Guidelines and that can instruct FAO staff at decentralized offices and across relevant departments at headquarters on Level Three Emergency preparedness and response activities. This handbook capitalizes on FAO process of Operational Guideline development and previous work on emergency Standard Operating Procedure Development to create such a tool.
