Community Health

Health care has always been part of Tulane's mission. Tulane traces its origins to the Medical College of Louisiana, the Deep South’s second-oldest medical school, which was founded in 1834. In recent years, the university has expanded its medical and public health activities in New Orleans, with the purpose of building ties between Tulane and the community. Now the Office of Community Affairs and Health Policy supports access to high quality neighborhood based health care and advances policies to improve community health.

How are Tulanians healing through health care? Here are just a few examples.
