Tulane University Excellence Awards Program

In 2001, Tulane University President Scott Cowen introduced a new recognition program for staff, the Tulane Excellence Awards Program. This initiative of the University's strategic plan rewards up to 10 members of the Tulane staff for outstanding performance on an annual basis. Individuals are nominated on the basis of four criteria: Increased Productivity, Enhanced Objectives, Cost Savings and Humanitarianism. Award recipients receive a one-time, $1,000 cash prize and will be honored at a dinner at President Cowen's home.

Disrupted in 2005 due to the ongoing effects of Hurricane Katrina, the tradition resumed in 2007. Here are the 2006 winners from the January 5 issue of Tulane Talk.
