Tulane On Alert!

While we have received no direct threats or have any reason to believe we may be a target, Tulane University, in light of the recent FBI warning of possible new terrorist attacks, is asking all students, faculty and staff to be aware of their surroundings and to immediately report any suspicious or threatening behavior to the Office of Public Safety at (504) 865-5381.

Members of the Tulane community are also asked to be on the lookout for letters or packages that have suspicious indicators such as excessive postage, incorrect titles, titles without names, oily stains or discolorations, rigid envelopes, restrictive markings such as "confidential" or "personal," excessive masking tape, string or other material, lopsided or uneven packaging, no return address or poorly written or typed envelopes. Contact the Office of Public Safety to report any suspicious package. Any suspicious package should not be touched, moved or opened.
