Hail to the Chief

On Friday, September 24, Tulane held its first presidential inauguration in almost two decades as Scott S. Cowen officially took the reins as the university's 14th president. Offered here, in pictures, is a look back at that day.

Hundreds of students, faculty, staff, alumni and representatives of other universities joined the stately robed processional as it traveled from Woldenberg Art Center to McAlister Auditorium. Bringing up the rear, Cowen wore the Tulane presidential robe and the official chain of office.
