Frequently Asked Questions and Information about Loans

  1. What are the terms and conditions of the Federal Direct Loan?
  2. Where can I find a lender comparison chart that compares non federal private student loans?
  3. How do I file loan deferments for my existing Federal Direct and/or Perkins Loans?

Tulane University's Student Loan Office recently changed the servicer (billing agency) of Federal Perkins Loans that were disbursed to Tulane students.  For many years, Tulane contracted with a company called ACS/Xerox to serve as a third-party vendor for the service and collection of Federal Student Loans.  Effective 10/1/17, Tulane's Federal Perkins Loan servicer is now UAS (University Accounting Service).

The Tulane Student Loan Office informed us that they attempted to notify all current and former Tulane students who have received Federal Perkins Loan funds of this change via recent e-mail notifications.
