INCOMING AND CONTINUING STUDENTS 2017-2018 APPLICATION TIME FRAMES

INCOMING STUDENTS:

Beginning on October 1, 2016, the Department of Education made available the 2017/18 FAFSA.

Keep in mind that we cannot make an offer of aid until after the School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine has made an offer of admission to you AND you have input your Social Security Number into Tulane's Gibson Online system.

The Gibson Online portal is where you will need to provide Tulane with your Social Security Number.  Once you are ACCEPTED by the Admission Department, you will be sent an e-mail giving you instructions on how to access Gibson Online, and thus, input your Social Security Number. Tulane University must have your Social Security Number in order to be able to download your Free Application of Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) from the Department of Education.  Please do this step immediately.

If you would like to receive your Financial Aid Notification prior to April 14, 2017, then you should complete your 2017-18 FAFSA and your 2017-18 School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine Financial Aid Addendum preferably before March 15, 2017 to allow us ample time to complete all awards.

Since Tulane has a rolling admission policy, we continue to process admitted student aid throughout the year, so applications received after March 15, 2017 will be processed.

CONTINUING STUDENTS:

You are encouraged to have your 2017-18 FAFSA and your 2017-18 School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine Financial Aid Addendum completed by MARCH 31, 2017. Students planning on attending the summer session especially need to have their FAFSA's completed in March in order for your summer aid to arrive on time.
