Wave Goodbye stage
On Commencement eve Friday night, the Gibson Quad was transformed into an enormous party, with a stage for entertainers, New Orleans food and thousands of celebrating friends and family.

Jill Rupert's party dress for the Wave Goodbye event Friday night was her graduation robe and hood. A Ph.D. graduate in English, she and other candidates for advanced degrees received their regalia at a ceremony Friday.
