I really need someone to look at my resume…fast!

Make an appointment NOW to schedule an appointment with a career coach to review your resume. You have time now to upload your resume for review in Handshake.

Who will be there?
Download the Career Fair Plus app from your app store, turn on your location settings (if you are in New Orleans) and you should see the fair as the suggested options. If you downloaded the app for the Tulane Fall Career Expo in October of 2017, then you are good to go.

How do I get there?

A shuttle bus will leave campus at Freret & McAlister (by the ROTC Building) starting at 11:30, 12:15, 1:00, 1:45 and 2:30 (please note these times are scheduled times but depending on weather, traffic, construction, etc. there may be some delays)

Last shuttle bus from the Superdome back to campus leaves at 4:30 PM.

This is a shared shuttle with Loyola and Tulane students.

Can I drive?

You can drive if you choose. There is NO FREE PARKING at the Superdome. Prepare to pay for parking in the Superdome lot or on the street surrounding the Superdome.

Can I Uber/Lyft?

Sure you can. We do have a free shuttle (details above) but if you choose a ride share service, you want them to drop you off underneath the large ramps in front of the Superdome that face Poydras. Remember, you will need to enter at the Ground Level at Gate A.

How do I get into the Superdome?

Entrance to the Fair will be from the GROUND LEVEL at Gate A. These are the doors next to the ticket window on the GROUND LEVEL.

Driving Yourself: After you park (remember you will have to pay for parking), you can exit the Garage and enter at the GROUND LEVEL.

*There are doors on the upper-level but they will be locked. Our only entrance is the GROUND LEVEL at Gate A

What should I wear?
Business Professional (not casual) This is a professional event. Prepare to dress for success!

Are these companies actually recruiting?

They would not spend the money to travel to New Orleans, pay the registration fee for the event, book hotel rooms, and other expenses if they were not hiring.

Are these companies interviewing?

Some of the companies will offer same day interviews to candidates that they select either by speaking with them on the spot.

If you are offered an interview you will be directed to where their location is in the Superdome to conduct the interview or they may have you meet them at their table and they will walk with you over to the interview room.

How should I prepare?
Look at the list of companies. Start your research and see what they have to offer. If you use the Career Fair Plus app you can "Favorite" companies and take notes for those you want to visit.

What should I bring?

At least 20 copies of your resume, your list of companies, maybe a padfolio or NICE folder with your notes and that's pretty much it. Don't bring your back-pack or other bags. You are coming from campus, there is no reason to have your back-pack with you. Store it in your dorm room or apartment. There is no coat check or baggage storage on site, so please plan appropriately.

Should I reach out to alumni?
After you visit the fair and have made some positive connections with employers, you should use LinkedIn to identify alumni to connect and discover more about the company.

Where do I sign up?

Just show up. No pre-registration necessary.
