Interdisciplinary Graduate Student

Pia webPia Köstner has taught beginning and intermediate German courses as well as Elementary Honors German in the Department. She is currently working on her Ph.D. in Linguistics, an interdiciplinary program at Tulane University. She received her M.A. in English Literature from the University of New Orleans, where she also teaches German. In addition, she teaches German full-time at University of New Orleans and has taught intermediate and advanced German courses at Loyola University and freshmen composition at UNO. After moving to the United States from Germany in 1991, she earned her B.A. in English at the University of New Orleans.

When she is not teaching or studying, one may find Pia cooking, walking her dogs, throwing clay pots and painting or working on her house.
