| Monroe Hall was
constructed in the mid-1960s and is named for J. Blanc Monroe,
a former Board of Trustees member. It is a twelve story facility
that offers panoramic views of the city or campus from rooms
on the upper floors. The hall is co-educational by wing and
has double occupancy rooms along with some singles. The rooms
have standard twin beds with stationary bolster cabinets above,
built-in desks, and chest of drawers located in the closets.
Monroe is equipped with a wide range of study lounges, TV rooms,
and kitchen facilities. The building offers a special interest
floor to provide a home for students interested in various forms
of artistic expression, whether or not the interest is manifested
in their choice of academic major. |
