Tulane's on campus
student health center provides medical attention from 8:30 a.m.
to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday (until 6 p.m. on Tuesdays
only), and from 9 a.m. until noon on Saturdays. The center also
provides doctors on call 24 hours a day, including weekends.
Some specialists are also available. Please visit the web
site for general information, including special summer hours.
For emergencies, there is Tulane Emergency Medical Service,
also known as TEMS. This ambulance service, run entirely by
students who are trained and certified as paramedics, has a
response time of under two minutes, and can transport students
to Tulane Medical Center downtown or any of the other local
hospitals. TEMS can be reached through the emergency extension,
X5200, and has the fastest response time in the city.
