Make your home among strangers

The fall 2016 selection is Make Your Home Among Strangers by Jenine Capó Crucet.

"…we are expansively reminded in “Make Your Home Among Strangers,” Jennine Capó Crucet’s heartfelt first novel about a Cuban-American family entangled in a fictionalized account of the González affair, no amount of change erases the past. With history onboard, Crucet shows us how journeys between cultures are almost impossible to navigate and family relationships are bound to dump us in choppy waters.” - Kathryn Ma, The New York Times

Spring 2011 marked the first gatherings of the Newcomb Book Club. These evenings of friendship and conversation, open to all Newcomb and Tulane alumnae and alumni, proved to be so successful that the NAA continues to expand the number of cities hosting book clubs, offering fall and spring gatherings in selected cities.
