  1. All circulating books have a loan period of 4 weeks for all patron groups (undergrads, grads, faculty, and friends of NCCROW).

Return your books to the Nadine Vorhoff  Library and not to any other library on campus.

While faculty and graduate students enjoy longer loan periods at Howard Tilton and other TU libraries, the Nadine Vorhoff Library oversees a small, special research collection, and therefore, it is important that we facilitate the ease of access to these books for all patrons.

  2. Overdue Fines are .30 cents per day, with a 3-day grace period.  You can always renew your books on line at the Howard Tilton Memorial Library website. Go to my Manage your Checked Out Items and type in your Patron Barcode and Last Name.
  3. Maximum fine of $12.00 per book, which is reached about 1 and a half months once the book is overdue.

  4. When the maximum fines is reached, the Voyager system automatically marks the book lost and charges the patron $20 lost book fee and $20 lost book processing fee.

  5. If the book is returned or replaced, the patron will be charged only the $12 in overdue fines.  The lost book fees will be forgiven.

  6. If the book is not returned or replaced, the patron will also be charged the overdue and lost book fines/fees, along with the additional cost of purchasing a replacement copy of the book.

  7. All books are subject to recall. Patrons have 3 days to return recalled books. After which, they will be fined $1.00 a day until the book is returned.
