It took form, rhythm and coordination to become a Barracuda.

Members of the Newcomb College women’s synchronized swim team, the Barracudas, dive into the Newcomb swimming pool in 1946. According to a 1959 Jambalaya yearbook, students interested in joining the team were judged on form, rhythm and coordination during tryouts held in the fall and spring semesters. The pool was housed in the Woldenberg Art Center in the location currently occupied by the foundry.
