MEDIA ADVISORY: Thailand’s attorney general to speak on human trafficking at Tulane Law School

WHAT: A public lecture by Trakul Winitnaiyapak, the attorney general of Thailand and a 1975 Tulane Law School graduate, who will discuss law enforcement efforts to combat human trafficking.

WHEN: Tuesday, Feb. 10 at 4:30 p.m.

WHERE: Room 110, Weinmann Hall, 6329 Freret St.

MORE: The U.S. Department of State’s “Trafficking in Persons Report 2014” estimated that tens of thousands of victims in Thailand are forced into exploitative labor or the sex trade. Under Winitnaiyapak’s leadership, Thailand has made eliminating human trafficking a national priority.
