Gramm-Leach-Bliley Compliance


In compliance with the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLB Act), Public Law 106-102 (1999), Tulane University protects the private non-public information of consumers, students and employees. Tulane collects information such as:

  • Social Security Number
  • Date and location of birth
  • Sex
  • Financial status
  • Salary history
  • Personal Check Information
  • ACH numbers
  • Credit Card Numbers
  • Drivers License Information

Tulane's policy is to identify and safeguard this information with the appropriate procedures to insure compliance with the GLB Act. Tulane University will manage private non-public information in accordance with all applicable state and federal guidelines relating to the use, disclosure and retention of private non-public information. Appropriate administrative, technical and physical security of this information is identified in the "Tulane University Information Security Plan".
