Personal Statement:

Prior positions include performance and results monitoring technical officer at the Academy for Educational Development and senior technical advisor, Public Health Institute, assigned to the Office of Population, USAID. Anastasia Gage's research has focused on issues such as access to maternal health services, violence against women, adolescent health risk behaviors, and gender. She has also been involved in studies designed to monitor the implementation and effectiveness of health interventions in a number of African countries.

Gage is principal investigator for the Tulane University sub-agreement with the University of North Carolina on the USAID-funded MEASURE Evaluation Project.  She is President of the International Union for the Scientific Study of Population, 2014-2017.
