The Office
of Research Administration assists faculty on the uptown campus
with locating funding information, initiating and processing proposals,
and administering awarded sponsored projects in accordance with
the practices and policies of both Tulane and the sponsoring agencies.
It also acts as a liaison between investigators and other campus
offices on grant or contract-related matters. The staff is always
available to answer questions related to sponsored research and
to assist with budget preparation.
By request, the staff can perform customized searches for funding
for individual faculty members and can assist in locating necessary
instructions and applications. For more information, visit the Office
of Research Administration Web site.
The Office of Government
Affairs & Institutional Program Development represents the
university's official point of contact for federal, state, and local
legislative activities that affect the University, its faculty and
its students. The office also coordinates the development and funding
of large multidisciplinary institutional projects like some of those
under way at the Tulane/Xavier
Center for Bioenvironmental Research.
The Coordinated
Instrumentation Facility manages shared research equipment used
throughout the University. CIF personnel maintain the equipment
and train students and researchers in its use.
