INTERNAL MEDICINE ELECTIVES -Quality Improvement/Patient Safety IHI Elective

This elective is for students interested in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety.  Students are expected to complete a required number of modules on the Institute for Health Improvement (IHI) Open School Model over a two-week period for credit.  The modules can be done as correspondence and students do not need to physically be present in New Orleans for this elective.  Credit will be given upon completion of the required number of modules.

Maximum number of students: No Maximum
Timeframe:  2 weeks
Prerequisite:  Completion of the IM clerkship and Ambulatory/Subspecialty             Clinics Rotation with passing grades in both.
