Adult and Child Psychiatry Grand Rounds - Now for CME credit.

We are pleased to announce that starting November 7th, we will be offering CME credit for Adult Psychiatry Grand Rounds!  Grand Rounds will now be approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit.  As we start offering CME credit, there will be a few small changes.  We will need to take Grand Rounds attendance starting in November, so please make sure to sign in when you come. To make sure you are receiving CME credit, please see below:

Clinical Faculty and friends of the department (not employed by Tulane)-  To receive CME Credit, you will need to register with the Tulane Center for Continuing Education.  Please go to the website: http://tulane.edu/cce/grand-rounds.cfm  and click “Register Now.”  The cost to sign up for CME credit is $95 for the year.  Once you sign up, CME Credit will be given for any Grand Rounds (in any department) you attend and sign the attendance sheet.  *Please note- if you have signed up through other departments (such as Child Psychiatry), you do not need to sign up again.

Faculty (employed by Tulane Psychiatry)- If you would like to receive a CME transcript at the end of the year to submit for credit, the CME transcript cost of $95 is paid from your faculty member option account. Noemi will be contacting you to find out if you would like to opt-IN to receive your transcript.  You can also contact Noemi at nmercado@tulane.edu or 988-3772 if you have additional questions.  You do NOT need to go to the CME website to register, but please make sure you sign in when you attend Grand Rounds so that you receive credit on your transcript. *Please note- if you have already signed up through other departments (such as Child Psychiatry), you do not need to sign up again.

Residents and Fellows- you do NOT need to register with CME since being in a residency or fellowship completes our annual CME requirements.  Please make sure you do sign in at grand rounds, though, since the CME office will need full attendance sheets for Grand Rounds.  In addition, when you graduate you will be able to get AMA direct credit for CME credits earned during residency or fellowship.
