Thank you for thinking about submitting for the regional SGEA in New Orleans this spring of 2009! We have an exciting program planned and we hope you will be a part of it. Below are some basic instructions to help you with the submission process.
Overall, you can submit one or more proposals in any of the five format types available. There are two pages to be completed. Please follow the directions below for a smooth submission process. You may download this worksheet to help you plan.
Create your abstract for submission following the guidelines developed and revised by the faculty at the University of Kentucky and University of Louisville. Be sure to blind the name of the institution and authors in the abstract. Keep to the word limits and formats suggested. View Submission Guidelines and Examples Your abstract MUST be typed as either a word document (.doc) or a pdf document (.pdf). No other formats or documents will be accepted!!!!
You must register and create a user account. All those who have abstracts accepted into the program must also register for the regional SGEA conference.
For each submission you plan to upload, you will have to complete a full demographics page that will identify the format, the subject category and the main subject content of your submission. You will also have to complete all required fields for the author’s contact information and select you preferred mode of communication. This will help us reduce unnecessary work and get the results of your review to you as soon as possible.
Once you completed the required fields, you will then proceed to uploading your file. Click on the 'Browse' button and locate your file. Click on your file and the file name should appear in the open frame.
Click the 'Submit' button. Once you upload your file and clicked submit, you will receive a message that you have completed the upload.
Your uploaded files will remain active on your profile page until the submission deadline at 5:00 PM CST on December 5th, 2008. If you wish to make a revision to your submission, you may do so by logging into your user account, find the summary table of your submissions, select the action button for editing and then upload your revised abstract.
