George C. Kleinpeter, Jr., P.E.

Mr. Kleinpeter, Jr., P.E. is President and Chief Executive Officer at BKI. He is responsible for the operation, development, and direction of all Burk-Kleinpeter, Inc. locations in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Shreveport, Louisiana, Tuscaloosa and Birmingham, Alabama, and Houston, Texas. Mr. Kleinpeter is a registered professional engineer in the State of Louisiana (#14389) and has provided professional consulting services to numerous public and private clients throughout the Gulf Coast region for over 30 years.

He has supervised projects ranging from transportation planning to engineering design and construction supervision. His areas of expertise include municipal roadway improvements; highway and bridge design; sewer and water system design and rehabilitation; drainage design and flood control; and construction administration. Under his direction and supervision, BKI’s projects have garnered numerous awards and commendations from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Mr. Kleinpeter holds B.S. and M.E. degrees in Civil Engineering and is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, The Society of American Military Engineers, Institute of Transportation Engineers, American Planning Association, American Public Works Association, Society of Tulane Engineers, National Society of Professional Engineers, Ports Association of Louisiana, American Water Works Association, Water Environmental Federation, Alabama Road Builders Association, and the Delgado Foundation Board of Directors.
