I am a neuroendocrinologist interested in how hormones regulate behavior. I seek to understand both social and non-social behaviors, using a variety of molecular, behavioral and morphological techniques. We use both genetic and pharmacological approaches in the laboratory to study signaling pathways and how they impact behaviors such as aggression and anxiety.
I teach Methods in Neuroscience and General Endocrinology and mentor graduate, postdoctoral and undergraduate students. I am interested in scientific outreach and have collaborations with high schools in New Orleans.
