John has been with the department for 18 years and brings with him a vast array of institutional knowledge to his job. He can answer just about any question dealing with university administration and student affairs. He handles all personnel and payroll issues for the department, as well as manages the department budgets, including faculty grant awards. He assists undergraduate and graduate students with curriculum and registration questions, as well as certifies undergraduates for graduation. Marnie manages the department office. She administers the Graduate student application process and assists the Director of the One Year Master’s program. She also administers the interviewing and hiring of work study students for the department. She assists students with registration, transfer credit, curriculum questions, and assigns advisors to students as well as. She also coordinates department seminars. Jonathan coordinates all aspects of departmental building and equipment maintenance as well as repairs and renovations for core and research labs. He is called upon to place purchase orders for research and core lab equipment, supplies and chemicals. He also provides, with the assistance of Technology Services, technology support to the faculty and staff. He works closely with University Web Communications to maintain and enhance the department's website. Jonathan assists faculty in alumni public relations and community outreach via the website.

Coordinates and supervises the undergraduate teaching labs; provides support for the Faculty and Teaching Assistants; manages the departmental laboratory facilities and serves as the Departmental Safety Representative. Haini has experience in a wide variety of bio-analytical techniques as well as years of work in academic research laboratories.
