I am currently a master student in the department. My research lies on understanding volcanoes and rocks: the mechanisms of eruptions and the chemistry of different rocks. Those wild and beautiful natural things got me when I was only a kid. That is basically why I got into geology. Now I am assisting in an archaeological project in Mexico.
Life in the Earth and Environmental Sciences department and in New Orleans is very happy. The atmosphere in our department is joyful. The city of New Orleans also provides good food and beautiful music. I am enjoying my grad student life a lot.
