My research is focused on groundwater arsenic contamination in the shallow aquifers in the Mississippi River Delta. Groundwater arsenic contamination is a very serious issue in most delta and floodplains in Southeast Asia countries, and the Mississippi River Delta has broadly similar geology and sedimentary environments as delta and floodplains in Southeast Asia, therefore, it is possible that groundwater of the shallow aquifers in the Mississippi River Delta is associated with elevated arsenic concentration. My research goal is to develop a model predicting areas at risk of groundwater arsenic contamination.
As a graduate student at Tulane, you will have the chance to experience different cultures and festivals year-around. New Orleans is a fun city to study and I enjoy my life here.
