The honorary title of IAGC Fellow is bestowed annually to no more than two world-wide scientists who have made significant contributions to the field of geochemistry. Professor Johannesson has pioneered studies in geochemistry and in rare earth elements, especially in the hydrosphere. Her more recent work involves arsenic, selenium, and tungsten in groundwater. Acknowledgement of the award will appear in a future issue of the IAGC newsletter and Elements journal.
