Professor of Practice in Mathematics
The Tulane University Department of Mathematics is seeking a Professor of Practice in mathematics. This is a non-tenure track, renewable position with an initial appointment of three years, beginning in fall 2017. The successful candidate will have a Ph. D. in mathematics, experience in teaching, and a strong commitment to quality undergraduate education. The main duties of the Professor of Practice will be teaching, providing curriculum planning and coordination for the calculus classes, and supplying training for the teaching assistants. The Professor of Practice will also be encouraged to provide leadership in the development of beginning courses serving students in humanities, sciences, and business degree programs.
