Social/Personality Psychology - Assistant Professor


The Department is searching for a tenure-track SOCIAL OR PERSONALITY PSYCHOLOGIST at the ASSISTANT PROFESSOR level to begin July 2015. We especially are interested in candidates who are trained in personality psychology and/or that follow an evolutionary perspective. The ideal candidate will complement our social/personality program’s strength in stigma, stereotyping, and discrimination; please see detailed information about our social/personality program and faculty. Ability to interface with other doctoral program areas in developmental/ school psychology and behavioral neuroscience is a plus.

The successful candidate is expected to develop and sustain an active research program, seek external funding to support research, supervise thesis and dissertation research, and to teach at the graduate and undergraduate levels. The standard teaching load for research active faculty is three courses per year, with a further reduction for beginning junior faculty during the first three years of appointment.
