PEER MENTORING PROGRAMS

  • NEWCOMB COLLEGE INSTITUTE BIG SISTER/LITTLE SISTER PROGRAM & TOWN MOM Program
    The Big Sister/Little Sister Program through Newcomb College Institute (NCI) matches incoming first-year women with upper-class female students to serve as resources and guides for new students through their first year at Tulane. First-year women will be sent information over the summer encouraging them to sign up for the program. The Town Mom program matches incoming first-year women with Newcomb alumnae in New Orleans who can provide guidance and support to new first-year women on campus. For more information, contact the Newcomb College Institute.

  • THE O PEER MENTORING PROGRAM
    Open to all incoming students, the O Peer Mentoring Program matches new students with upperclassmen to guide new students in their transition in the first semester. The program promotes academic success, personal development, campus leadership, and civic engagement. Mentors and mentees are encouraged to attend workshops, cultural and social trips in New Orleans, and participate in one-on-one mentoring meetings and brown bag discussions. Visit the  Peer Mentoring Program website for additional information. The Office of Multicultural Affairs and the Office for Gender and Sexual Diversity sponsor this program.
  • INTERNATIONAL STUDENT MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
    Sponsored by the International Student Advisory Board and the Office of International Students and Scholars, the International Student Mentorship Program (ISMP) connects new international students with upperclass mentors to support new international students' transition into the university community. The mentorship program also provided a great opportunity for current Tulane students (both U.S. American and International Students) to develop leadership skills and to interact with new international students and learn about their cultures. For more information, contact the Office of International Students & Scholars
  • TULINKED
    A student-run organization, TUlinked aims to connect incoming new students with upperclassmen who can serve as a resource and sounding board in navigating the many opportunities for involvement on campus. Overwhelmed by all Tulane offers for involvement? Not sure where to start? Consider joining TUlinked and talk to someone who has been in your shoes. Connect with the group on Facebook and sign up HERE. For more information, email tulinked@gmail.com.

FRESHMAN LEADERSHIP PROGRAM (FLP)

  • Learn the ins and outs of involvement at Tulane;
  • Plan and execute a Personal Leadership Project;
