Fall Welcome

Fall Welcome

Fall Welcome is Tulane's kick-off of the new academic year with programming and activities just for new students as well as events to welcome back returning students. Fall Welcome begins with Move-In Day on Friday, August 25, 2017, when hundreds of student volunteers will greet new students on campus and help them move into their residence halls.

Fall Welcome is designed to help you:

  • Connect and build relationships with other new and current students;
  • Become more familiar with Tulane's campus and your new community;
  • Prepare for the academic expectations of being a Tulane student;
  • Discover opportunities for involvement on campus;
  • Understand the importance of responsible decision-making; and
  • Explore campus resources to assist you in your transition and throughout your first year.

As a new student, there will be plenty of academic and social programs throughout Fall Welcome to help you meet your classmates, make friends, and learn your way around Tulane. Our student staff, the Orientation Coordinators, will guide you through Fall Welcome so that you will always have an experienced Tulanian close at hand to answer your questions and help you feel welcomed.

Programs for parents and families will end on Saturday, August 26, 2017. The first day of classes is Monday, August 28, 2017. Click here for schedule information.
