FRIDAYS AT THE QUAD (FAQ). Spend your Fridays on the LBC Quad and enjoy music brought to you by the Division of Student Affairs, Tulane University Campus Programming (TUCP) and the Office of Student Programs.
ACTIVITIES EXPO. Expo is an opportunity for student organizations to promote and publicize themselves through flyers, brochures, giveaways, etc., as well as recruit new members. Fall Activities Expo is typically during the first week of classes of the fall semester. Spring Activities Expo is after Sorority Recruitment in January.
WELCOME BACK MEETING. This meeting covers all the basic information student organizations need to operate. Make sure to attend this event to find out about new policies, changes to procedure and lots of tips and tricks to make your life as a student organization leader easier. Welcome Back is a "one-stop shop" for all issues concerning student organizations.
STUDENT ORGANIZATION BUDGET WORKSHOPS. This workshop explains student organization budget procedures and to answer any questions you may have about student organization funding. Graduate and Greek student organizations do not need to attend. Contact the USG Vice President for Finance for more information.
LEADERSHAPE INSTITUTE. LeaderShape Institute is a six-day program that engages participants in dialogue and activities aimed at self-discovery and key leadership issues. Participants are challenged to lead with integrity, while working towards creating a vision to improve the communities of which they are a part. After students return to campus, they will maintain a support network with one another in order to help bring their visions to reality.
CREST AWARDS. The Student Crest Awards are a unified campus recognition of the efforts and achievements of students outside of the classroom. These awards are sponsored annually by the Division of Student Affairs and recognize students for demonstrating excellence in leadership, scholarship and community service, as well as initiative and promise in campus leadership. Nominations are made by students, faculty and staff.
NEW ADVISOR WORKSHOP. This workshop explains how to plan an event, what policies are involved, how to use student government funds, and lots more in less than 90 minutes. For more information, contact Student Programs at 865-5141.
STUDENT ORGANIZATION ADVISING. Student Programs supports more than 250 other student organizations and their advisors.
ORGSYNC STUDENT ORGANIZATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM. OrgSync provides organizations with the tools to transform the way they operate, including: manage organization records, store and share important documents, communicate with members, plan and publicize events, track service hours and meeting attendance, collect dues, and significantly reduce paperwork. ADVISOR SUPPORT & EDUCATION. Student Programs is a resource for organization advisors and provides monthly trainings and ongoing support.
STUDENT ORGANIZATION CENTER. The Student Organization Center is on the Garden Level of the LBC in suite G11. The SOC is a resource center for student organization members and also for those looking to get involved on campus. The SOC provides meeting space, art supplies for organization banners and fliers, organization storage and advising on many topics.
STUDENT ORGANIZATION TECHNOLOGY ACCOUNTS. Recognized student organizations can request email and web accounts and can also use OrgSync to communicate with their members and potential members. For more information, contact Assistant Director of Student Programs Tel Francois Bailliet.
FRESHMAN DIRECTORY. The Tulane New Student Directory is a permanent photographic record of the current freshman class. This book includes photos and brief biographical information about your classmates, along with useful supplemental information about Tulane and New Orleans.
