Visiting the Uptown Campus
We
welcome your visit to Tulane! Our uptown campus
is located in New Orleans on St.
Charles Avenue in a historic residential district
where architectural styles run from humble
Creole cottages to impressive Greek Revival
mansions. Located across the street from
Tulane is Audubon Park, 400 acres that encompass
tennis courts, golf courses, jogging and
bicycle paths, horse stables, the Audubon
Zoo and some of the most magnificent live
oaks you'll ever see.
Visitors
to the uptown campus can take part in information sessions
and tours Monday through Friday during most
of the calendar year and on Saturday mornings
during the school year. Be sure to inquire
about special opportunities to sit in on
a class, or plan special campus appointments
in advance of your visit. For more information,

showing locations of preferred hotels.
Directions to the Uptown Campus
Parking near the university is limited, use
of taxi or public transportation is highly
recommended.
Driving From I-10 Heading EAST
- Follow the signs toward the Central Business
District.
- As you enter the downtown area,
follow the signs to Hwy. 90 Business/West
Bank.
- Exit at St. Charles Avenue/Carondelet
Street (do not cross the bridge).
- At the
second traffic light make a right onto St.
Charles Avenue.
- Follow St. Charles Avenue
for four miles.
- Tulane and Gibson Hall will
be on your right at 6823 St. Charles Avenue.
Gibson Hall is the center of the three main
stone buildings on St. Charles Avenue. Proceed
up the center staircase which will take you
directly into the Office of Undergraduate Admission.

- As you enter the downtown area, follow the
signs to Hwy. 90 Business/West Bank.
- Exit at St. Charles Avenue/Carondelet Street (do
