It’s our loss and their gain, for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of LA as Matt Dovie takes a job as a Senior IT Practice Engineer. Matt joined Technology Services in January of 2005 as a liaison to the School of Social Work.
Matt has always been a valued team member in the department, especially following Katrina when he was called upon to offer telephone support from our temporary operations center on the ground floor of Gibson Hall. Matt’s coworkers will remember his enthusiasm and good attitude, including his participation in a departmental Halloween costume contest and the annual Primate Center Mardi Gras parade. On a serious note, Matt was the project lead on the Outlook Live migration and took charge of the Technology Services computing labs before moving to the Primate Center as a User Services Analyst III.
While at Tulane Matt earned his MBA from A.B. Freeman School of Business and became an Apple Certified Macintosh Technician. In his spare time Matt is the DJ and fifth member of a local cover band called 5 Finger Discount, where you can still find him on nights and weekends.
Join us in wishing him success in his new endeavor.
