International Tax Office "ITO"

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has specific federal tax withholding and reporting rules to payments made to individuals who are neither a U.S. citizens nor a U.S. permanent resident and to foreign entities.

The International Tax Office makes sure that Tulane is in compliance with these federal tax withholding and reporting rules on all payments, whether they are processed through Payroll, Accounts Payable,  Accounts Receivable or in any other forms.

The International Tax Office provides guidance and responds to questions concerning federal tax withholding and reporting rules from international individuals, students, scholars, visitors, faculty and staff, of Tulane University.  However, we cannot advise international individuals with regard to their personal tax situation or cannot prepare and submit personal tax returns on their behalf.
