Dr. Albert is teaching a new graduate level elective titled “Survey of Contemporary Polymers Research” (CENG6420) this fall. This literature-based course is focused on the latest advances in in polymer science, from synthesis to application. Basic understanding of polymer science principles is assumed. Gio is appointed President of the CBE Graduate Student Association for the 2015-2016 academic year.
Dr. Albert is selected as one of eight recipients of the prestigious Gulf Research Program Early-Career Research Fellowship from the National Academy of Sciences to conduct research on nanoporous membranes for enhanced oil recovery from oil spills. More information at: http://www.nas.edu
Dr. Albert’s proposal to the Louisiana Board of Regents Research Competitiveness Subprogram on tailoring polymer blend self-assembly to create periodic structures across multiple length scales is recommended for funding.
