Q: What is the benefit of being in a TIDE?
A: You will be able to develop close relationships with faculty and
with students with similar interests. The faculty participating
in the TIDES are representative of all of the different schools
and colleges that make up the University. As a consequence topics
will be explored from a variety of different points of view. Students
will be encouraged to discuss their TIDE issues in a broader context
laying the foundations for critical thinking in other areas of
their curriculum. The opportunity to learn and live together will
help build strong friendships, and communities.
